UPGRADES FOR 2014 MACBOOK PRO PRO
The MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display models require a P5 Pentalobe Screwdriver to remove the lower case to begin any internal repairs. Our battery repair kits include the needed adhesive. The battery in a MacBook Pro 13" Retina Mid 2014 is adhered to the inside of the upper case. The most common repairs with the 13" Mid 2014 model MacBook Pro with Retina Display laptops are replacing a dead battery or a damaged display assembly. Internally, the Mid 2014 model features faster processors and 8 or 16 GB of RAM that cannot be upgraded after purchase. Like the Early 2013 and Late 2013 models, this machine has no Ethernet or Firewire ports, although adapters are available.
UPGRADES FOR 2014 MACBOOK PRO BLUETOOTH
The Mid 2014 model has two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, a MagSafe 2 port, two Thunderbolt 2 ports, Bluetooth 4.0, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. The 13.3" widescreen 2560x1600 (227 ppi) display, external ports, and Wi-Fi capabilities are unchanged. Externally, this "Mid 2014" model looks very much like the "Late 2013" model. Regardless, they are highly reputable and if they say they can't guarantee the work it is less a reflection of their competence and more a reflection of years in the business fixing devices affected by liquid and setting you up with proper expectations. On JApple introduced a new 13" MacBook Pro with Retina Display. But it is dependent on the issue it came in for and what caused it. I know they offer warranty on certain repairs.
But there may be issues that will occur down the line, through no fault of the work they did because of the initial liquid damage. They may be able to get it it up and running. They cannot warranty the work that they do in this case. But in my experience, all they are saying is. I cannot speak for them specifically as a business. They will clean it in an ultrasonic cleaner to remove excess corrosion as best as can be done, but they cannot account for damage that may have been done to components that are functioning properly now, but their lifespan may have been reduced due to some electrical damage or corrosion which was not able to be removed thoroughly (cleaning under large chips especially, even with a high quality ultrasonic cleaner is not a guarantee all the corrosion is gone). They will address whatever visible damage, fix whatever is necessary to restore power (if possible), and other issues that become apparent once power is restored. There are hundreds and hundred of components on the board for that machine and depending on how extensive the damage was it is not realistic to address every single one. Generally speaking, with extensive liquid damage, anywhere of quality that does board level repairs will give this disclaimer. I’m wondering if anyone else with the New MacBook Pro 2021 model had spilled water on there MacBook and if so how was your experience getting it fixed? And if anyone else had sent there products to Rossmann’s repair shop to get there products repaired and if so if they tell every customer this saying that “there may be future issues”. However today I had received a phone call letting me know they can fix my issue of a liquid damage repair but issues might occur later on in the future which got me worried a little. I looked everywhere around me and found a place called Rossmann’s repair shop here in NYC and decided to send them my MacBook. However I didn’t want to take the risk and continue to use it since there may still be water inside of it. I left it alone for a while and let it air dry until it had finally turned on and seemed to work perfectly fine. Water had spilled directly onto my keyboard which worked fine for about 10 minutes until it had turned off completely. I had gotten this MacBook on the pre-order day last October and apple care didn’t ring a bell to me at that time. Recently my MacBook Pro had experienced something no other MacBook user ever wants to experience a water spill.
